<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC/DC converting power supply for improving a waveform of an input current, having a power factor of 1 or a slightly advanced power factor, and simplifying a control pulse. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply frequency is resonated by connecting a magnetic energy regenerative switch comprising four reversely conducting semiconductor switches and an energy storage capacitor to a reactor and an AC power supply in series and turning on/off the switch in synchronization with an AC voltage. If a resonance voltage is extracted by a diode rectifying circuit, a DC voltage higher than the AC input voltage is obtained, and an input current has less harmonic component and the improved power factor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
