<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering controller and vehicle capable of prohibiting a notice and a steering assist processing under a suitable timing corresponding to a running circumstance when a reduction in driver's driving intention is acknowledged. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a discrimination time determining means for setting a shorter one of a first discrimination time T<SB>v</SB>calculated in response to a vehicle speed V<SB>s</SB>and a second discrimination time T<SB>v</SB>determined in response to a curvature C<SB>r</SB>of a running vehicle line at the STEP 4 to STEP 7 and STEP 30 as a discrimination time T<SB>j</SB>for discriminating a reduction in driver's intention, a driver's intention detecting means for counting time of a continuous time T<SB>cnt</SB>in which a driver's intention reduction degree D<SB>w</SB>is more than a threshold value D<SB>w-</SB>th at the STEP 1 to STEP 3 and STEP 20, and a driver's intention reduction countermeasure means 53 for making an alarm and prohibiting "operation assist processing" when the continuous time T<SB>cnt</SB>becomes more than a discrimination time T<SB>j</SB>at STEP 8, STEP 40 and STEP 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
