PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooting method for promoting or inducing rooting, in which cut trees of trees of the genus Prunus, trees of the genus Hypericum or trees of the genus Paraserianthes of the family Leguminosae can be proliferated by cuttage. SOLUTION: The method for rooting cuttage comprises spraying or applying a liquid or emulsion containing a ketolunsaturated fatty acid being 5-24C ketolfatty acid, having 1-6 numbers of double bond between carbon atoms and havingα-ketol structure orγ-ketol structure as an active ingredient compound to a tree of the genus Prunus, a tree of the genus Hypericum or a tree of the genus Paraserianthes of the family Leguminosae or impregnating the above tree into the liquid containing the active ingredient compound to root the cuttage.
