POSITION MEASURING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable position measurement method of simply measuring positions of a pore and a pin formed in a part such as a sprocket and a gear using a simple measurement device in a short time. SOLUTION: The position measurement method comprises forming a rotation support point I of rotatably supporting a sprocket 10 by engaging a support pin 1 to a tooth groove 14 and forming a sprocket 10; rotating the sprocket 10 around the point I to a rotation positioning point II at which a relative position to the point I is fixed; contacting a measurement probe 3a of a gauge set at a measurement point III in the point II to a pore 15 of the sprocket 10, and measuring a deflection amount of the pore 15 from a reference point A which is set using a master part.
