<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element capable of emitting white light of high purity. <P>SOLUTION: A blue LED2 and a red LED3 are arranged side by side. A fluorescent material dispersion layer 4 of which a green fluorescent material 6 that absorbs light whose wavelength is shorter than the wavelength band of green and emits green fluorescence is dispersed in a transparent resin 5, is provided to cover the LEDs2 and 3. The dispersion amount of fluorescent material in the fluorescent material dispersion layer and driving current of blue LED2 and red LED3 are so set that the mixing color of the light of three colors, or red, green, and blue, becomes white, for emitting white light of high purity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
