A heat exchanger for utilising the heat of a pressurised hot gas comprises a distributor chamber, from which extend a number of tubes open on both sides and surrounded virtually over their entire length by tube pieces which are closed on one side and which open into one wall of a collecting chamber surrounding the distributor chamber. The tube pieces closed on one side are surrounded by a cooling chamber.
