<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selectively-bonding substance bonding base material which can stably detect a selective reaction of an immobilized selectively-bonding substance and a substance to be tested, and realizes high churning efficiency for a specimen solution, and to provide its application. <P>SOLUTION: The selectively-bonding substance immobilizing base material is a base material, on the surface of which a selectively-bonding substance is immobilized. In the surface of the base material, at least a portion other than the region on which the selectively-bonding substance is immobilized, is made rough.
