PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electronic component capable of surely carrying out mounting of a knob on a rotating body, and at the same time, structuring a mechanism for limiting a rotation range of the rotating body in a simple way with large intensity. SOLUTION: The rotary electronic component is provided with a base 30, a rotating body 60, a knob 200 fitted on an outer periphery upper part of the rotating body 60 and rotating integrally with the same 60, and an electric function part changing its electric outputs in accordance with rotation of the rotating body 60. The base 30 is provided with a stopper shaft 39 located between an outer periphery of the rotating body 60 and the knob 200. A pair each of locking parts 83, 205 for locking between the rotating body 60 and the knob 200 are provided at either side of the stopper shaft 39 so as to pinch it. The locking parts 83 have stopper-contacting parts formed in contact with the stopper shaft 39 to limit the rotating range of the rotating body 60 within one in which a pair each of the locking parts 83, 205 move pinching the stopper shaft 39.
