PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flowmeter dispensing with processing to a measuring tube for positioning a core, capable of readily assembling a magnetic path, and reducing to the utmost fluctuations of a magnetic resistance of the magnetic path. SOLUTION: This flowmeter has a pair of cores 4 provided outside the measuring tube 1; a pair of excitation coils 8 wound on the cores, for generating a magnetic field in the fluid flow direction and in the orthogonal direction thereto, cylindrical outer cores 6a, 6b for covering each circumference of the measuring tube and the excitation coils; and a pair of saddle-shaped magnetic body plates 3, formed and provided along the outer circumferential face of the measuring tube, and bonded to the cores. In the flowmeter, projecting circular cone-shaped parts 4a1, 4a2 are provided on both ends of each core, and one end is brought into contact with the outer cores, the other end is brought into contact with the saddle-shaped magnetic body plates, recessed circular cone-shaped parts 6a1, 3a2 fitted with the projecting circular cone-shaped parts are provided on each contact part, and both ends of the cores are fitted with the outer cores and the saddle-shaped magnetic body plates and are fixed.
