PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel pyrenylfluorenylene compound useful as an organic light-emitting element. SOLUTION: An organic light-emitting element containing a fluorenylene compound represented by general formula [1] has a light-emitting power with high efficiency and high luminance. In the formula, R1to R4are each an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl group or the like; R5and R6are each an alkyl, aralkyl, alkoxy, aryl group or the like; and R7and R8are each a sec-butyl, tert-butyl, adamantyl group or the like.
