PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for providing a gasifier (56) equipped with a system for the partial bypassing of a regulating agent. SOLUTION: The gasifier comprises a partial oxidation reactor and a secondary reaction chamber (228). The partial oxidation reactor comprises an inlet (260), an outlet (262) and a primary reaction zone stretching between them and is structured to direct the flow of a partial oxidation product containing a fuel gas, a gaseous byproduct resulting from partial oxidation and unburnt carbon. The secondary reaction chamber is structured to mix the flow of the regulator with the flow of the gaseous byproduct of partial oxidation and unburnt carbon so that the fuel gas concentration is increased.
