PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism of changing a guide of a shape rolling mill by which the guide for guiding and inducing a material to be rolled is quickly attached to and detached from the rolling mill by avoiding complicated structure. SOLUTION: This mechanism includes (A) shift rails 12-15 installed on the upside of the pass line P of the housing 11 of the rolling mill, (B) guides 16, 17 which are installed on the shift rails 12-15 and respectively provided with a guide box 20, upper and lower slide guide shafts 25, 26, upper roll guides 31, 32 and lower roll guides 33, 34 and (C) fixing members with which the guides 16, 17 can be attached to and detached from the housing 11 of the rolling mill from the side part. Moreover, (D) actuators 18, 19 for moving the guides 16, 17 installed on the shift rails 12-15 forward and backward along the pass line P are provided on the shift rails 12-15 and the guides 16, 17 are provided attachably and detachably from the end parts of the shift rails 12-15 by elevating and lowering means 45, 46.
