The device has four triangle shaped electrically conducting antenna sections (10), which together form a polygon. A triangular point of one section is provided in the region of a middle point of the polygon, and two diametrically opposite antenna sections form an antenna unit. Two of the four antenna sections, which are arranged adjacent to one another, are connected with one another by electrical resistance units (30``). The resistance units are made of a loosy plastic material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a measuring device such as detector, to detect objects enclosed in a medium (2) a tool device such as hand tool device, with a device to transmit and/or receive an electromagnetic high frequency signal.
