<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power supply device that enables a display unit which displays the operation state of the power supply device, to be surely viewed from outside, that enables a changeover switch which changes the operation of the power supply device to be surely operated, and that surely detects whether the cover is opened or closed. <P>SOLUTION: When a cover 1 is closed at the time when the relative positions of a recess 5e as a detection means are not matched with a protrusion 1a as an engagement means; the protrusion 1a contacts an inclined portion 5d as a position correction means, and moves along the inclination. When the cover 1 is further pressed, an auxiliary protrusion 1b contacts another inclined portion 5f as another position correction means, and moves along the inclination.
