PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for temporarily fixing optical members in their processing, and to provide a composition suitable for the method. SOLUTION: The composition comprises (A) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate (B) a monofunctional (meth)acrylate, (C) a compound coloring on being irradiated with rays and (D) a photopolymerization initiator. Preferably, the components (A) and (B) are hydrophobic and the component(C) is a leuco dye. The method for temporarily fixing a member comprises temporarily adhesively fixing the member using the composition, processing the member thus temporarily fixed followed by immersing this member in a hot water of 90°C or lower to detach the cured form of the composition.
