Self-adhesive strip has a shock-absorbing carrier, preferably of foam or felt, and an adhesive coating on one side. At least one of the 2 long edges has notch(es), in which the outer contour of the notch(es) is prestamped through separating perforations, the length:breadth ratio of the strip is not less than 2:1, preferably 5:1; and the strip optionally has release paper on the adhesive side. The novelty is that all wedges prestamped through separating perforations are within the notches.
