A ventilating system for a kitchen is provided to prevent smell, smoke, or heat generated during cooking from being dispersed around. A ventilating system(S) for a kitchen includes a gas or electric range(200a) and a range hood(100). The gas or electric range is installed in the kitchen and includes one or more of burner to cook a food at top. The range hood is installed at top of the gas or electric range separated with a distance for sucking heat, smell, or smoke generated during a cooking of the food and exhausting to the outside. The range hood comprises a body(110), a bottom cover(120), and a top cover(130). The body includes a first intake unit at bottom, a light, and a third intake unit at frontal top.
