METHOD FOR BACK-TRACKING IP BASED ON THE IPV6 NETWORK

A method for back-tracking an IP(Internet Protocol) in an IPv6(IP version 6) network is provided to be capable of reconfiguring a receiving path of packets by using information marked in a hop-by-hop option header, thus an IP of an attacking host can be back-tracked. An attack made by an attacker in an IPv6 network is sensed(S11). Information which is marked by a router through which packets pass and which is stored in a hop-by-hop header of the packets received through the IPv6 network is extracted(S12,S14). A receiving path of the received packets is reconfigured through the extracted marking information to back-track an IP of the attacker(S16-S20).
