A heavy tool escape prevention device of a gripper arm is provided to prevent damage to components in a tool machine by preventing a heavy tool from escaping from the gripper arm. A heavy tool escape prevention device of a gripper arm(50) includes at least one piston(200), a through hole(100), a locking pin(110), a tool bar(115), and a roller(119). The piston is arranged within the rotating radius of the gripper arm such that the piston reciprocates in an axial direction. The through hole is formed in the gripper arm. The locking pin is assembled such that the locking pin reciprocates in an axial direction within the through hole and causes interferences with the piston. The tool bar is arranged in the gripper arm, and has one end which tightly contacts one side of the locking pin so as to adjust the radial position in accordance with the moving position of the locking pin. The roller is arranged at the other end of the tool bar, and stably holds or releases a tool(120) in accordance with the radial position of the tool bar.
