A method for manufacturing an asymmetric filtration membrane with excellent contamination resistance and microorganism resistance by adding a hydrophilic polymer, polymethyl metaacrylate to a polymer solution for manufacturing the membrane, thereby improving hydrophilicity of the membrane is provided. In a method for manufacturing an asymmetric filtration membrane using a hydrophobic polymer solution, the method comprises the step of adding polymethyl metaacrylate to the hydrophobic polymer solution. The polymethyl metaacrylate is added to the hydrophobic polymer solution in an amount of 0.1 to 3 wt.% based on the polymer weight. The hydrophobic polymer solution is at least one selected from the group consisting of polysulfone, polyether sulfone, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyacrylonitrile and polyamide. The method further comprises the step of coating the polymethyl metaacrylate added polymer solution on a non-woven fabric. The filtration membrane is an ultrafiltration membrane or microfiltration membrane.
