A dosage unit form suitable for oral administration comprises an alkali(ne earth)metal salt of salicylamide (I) and opt. alkali(ne earth)metal salt of acetominophen (II). (I) is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory agent and the compn. give high blood levels of (I). The ratio of (I):(II) may be 0.25:1 to 40:1. Dosage forms include enteric coated tablets and effervescent compsn. Units doses contain 50-750 mg, esp. 300 mg. (I). |
