Bottom pouring metal ladle is fitted with at least two slide valve type closure tapping holes, which are used consecutively, permitting the repeated use of the laddle without its having to be taken out of commission. Both slide valves are pref. in one plane. The second tapping hole is used when the first hole together with its slide has become unuseable.
