An electron emission device and an electron emission display device using the same are provided to enhance focusing efficiency by optimizing a width ratio between an opening of a gate electrode and an opening of a focusing electrode. A first electrode(6) is formed on a substrate. A plurality of electron emission units(12) are formed on the first electrode. A second electrode is insulated from the first electrode. The second electrode is positioned on the first electrode and includes an opening for exposing the electron emission units. A third electrode(14) is insulated from the second electrode and is positioned at an upper part of the second electrode. The third electrode includes an opening connected to the opening of the second electrode. The second and third electrodes satisfy the following condition 1.5<=W2/W1<=3.0 where W1 is a width of the opening of the second electrode and W2 is a width of the opening of the third electrode.
