A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device is provided to add a photoinitiator in a sealing agent for curing the sealing agent optically by radiating UV(Ultra Violet) light without carrying out thermosetting process. A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device includes the steps of preparing first and second substrates, forming thin film transistors and pixel electrodes in pixels defined by intersection between gate and data lines on the first substrate(S11), forming a black matrix and color filter layers on the second substrate(S12), forming a thermosetting sealing agent containing photoinitiator at edge parts of the second substrate(S14), joining the first and second substrates and optically curing the sealing agent(S15,S16), and forming a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates(S17). |
