A display device and a method for manufacturing the display device are provided to omit a process for forming a reflection electrode by extending the reflection electrode from a drain electrode, and improve reflection efficiency by embossing the surface of the reflection electrode. A display device includes a transparent insulating pattern(10) formed on a substrate(1), a gate line and a data line intersecting each other on the transparent insulating pattern to define a pixel, and a gate electrode(20) extended from the gate line. A predetermined portion of the transparent insulating pattern is embossed. The display device further includes a source electrode(50) extended from the data line, a drain electrode(60) formed opposite to the source electrode, a reflection electrode(70) extended from the drain electrode, a passivation pattern(80) formed on the overall surface of the substrate to cover the reflection electrode, and a pixel electrode(90) formed on the passivation pattern and electrically connected to the drain electrode.
