[Also in Division F1] A piston 6 has a rod 7 arranged to control valve flap 1, and a rod 9 which engages either a wedge surface 18 or a bore 13 in a second piston 12, to permit rod 9 to either lock or free the flap. Piston 12 is movable against the action of a spring 14 by either a handle 19 or pressure fluid admitted at 15, and piston 6 is moved against the action of spring 16 by pressure fluid admitted at 17. In a modification (not shown) rod 7 locks the flap in its open position.
