An input device for a wearable and portable information device is provided to enable a user to conveniently carry or wear the input device, and easily use the input device without any training, and offer visual or physical feedback to prevent an input error. A character panel displays a keyboard arrangement. A sensor detects touch position if the user touches the character panel. A spring is compressed if the user touches the character panel. A switch is turned on by compression of the switch. A processor calculates a key value by receiving touch position information from the sensor if the switch is turned on. A communicator transfers the key value to the wearable or portable information device. The character panel comprises an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) screen or an electronic ink display. The character inputted to the information device by touching the character panel is fed back and displayed to the character panel.
