An apparatus for monitoring performance of a compressor and an intercooler, and a method for controlling the same are provided to efficiently operate load distribution between equipments by collecting, analyzing, processing work data of the compressor and the intercooler in real time, and accurately estimate a maintenance period by judging the maintenance period with objective data. A compressor and an intercooler are connected with a compressor manufacturing oxygen, nitrogen, and argon gas for cooling gas. An apparatus detects variables related to performance of the compressor in a DCS(Distributed Control System) operation room or PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) operation room in real time. An apparatus(10) for monitoring performance of the compressor and the intercooler includes a monitoring function including a performance monitoring function and a judging function by introducing a performance foresight index by giving appropriate processing variables to the compressor and the intercooler.
