<p>The invention relates to a composition and a process for addittivating and/or modifying the paving asphalt with polymers. According to the invention, the composition comprises 20...95 parts of low penetration oxidation paraffinous asphalt and/or 10...80 parts of high penetration oxidation paraffinous asphalt, 5...40 parts of substantially aromatic heat-fast oil and up to 5 parts rock adhering agent, the parts being expressed by weight. Addittionally, the composition also contains 2...7 parts by weight of SBS-type thermoplastic elastomer. The claimed process for preparing the polymer-modified asphalt consists in mixing low penetration oxidation paraffinous asphalt and/or high penetration oxidation paraffinous asphalt and heat-fast aromatic oil with substantially aromatic composition for 3 hours, at a temperature of 160...180A C, in horizontal or vertical reactors provided with specific stirring systems, spirally oriented pallets, spiral bands or other usual stirring systems.</p> |
