PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack of rechargeable lithium ion battery in which the battery pack is charged in safety while reducing the weight. SOLUTION: A switch 3 is provided in the discharge line for the load of a battery pack 2 constituted by connecting a plurality of unit cells in series, and a battery supervisory control section 6 having a function for monitoring the voltage of each cell in the battery pack 2 and delivering a control signal for opening/closing the switch 3 depending on the cell voltage is provided.
