PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine expanding a control range of washing states by a mechanical force. SOLUTION: This washing machine is provided with a spin basket 4 storing laundry and rotating around the axis of a rotating shaft A, a lifter 23 radially movably projecting from the inner circumferential face of the spin basket 4, a washing condition setting part 66 setting the washing conditions of the laundry, and an energization control part adjusting the projecting distance of the lifter 23 based on set washing conditions.
