<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the DMB broadcasting channel change time by reducing the time required for a bit deinterleaving process which takes the longest of the time periods required for the DMB broadcasting channel change. <P>SOLUTION: Processing of a PN (pseudo random noise) code independent of a channel is performed before performing the bit deinterleaving. Processing of a Walsh code for carrying out an identifying-character function which identifies channels by a forward link is performed after performing the bit deinterleaving.
