<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a high-quality color image by easily absorbing a difference between color gamuts for each printing member. <P>SOLUTION: When transforming inputted first color image data into second color image data corresponding to printing members, the image data are transformed through image data of an intermediate color gamut that is a finite color gamut being set without assuming any specific printing member. Regarding a part such as color creation that is not affected by each of printing members, it is performed when transforming first color image data into image data of the intermediate color gamut, and transformation such as absorption of the difference between color gamuts depending on each of printing members is performed when transforming the image data of the intermediate color gamut into second color image data. Thus, color matching in which similar color creation is performed without depending on the printing members can be easily achieved while absorbing the difference between the color gamuts in each of the printing members and a similar high-quality color image can be printed regardless of the printing members, as a result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
