<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image forming apparatus capable of reducing color shift during forming color images (overlapping images) by a simple control. <P>SOLUTION: A writing means in the image forming apparatus is provided with a plurality of recording beams with different optical paths and a plurality of deflectors with deflecting surfaces with specified angle differences and attached coaxially corresponding to a plurality of the beams. In addition, the writing means is provided with; means 35 and 37 generating recording start signals by detecting marks which are recording start references in an image forming means provided in an intermediate transfer body, means 34 and 35 generating synchronizing signals by detecting one beam which is specified beforehand among a plurality of the recording beams, and a time difference detecting means 38 detecting the time difference between the recording start signal and the synchronizing signal. A writing control means 39 selects a deflector for a second color onward from a plurality of the deflectors so that misalignment at the start for each color is made minimum according to detected time in the time difference detecting means and forms the image using only the recording beam corresponding to the deflector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
