PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stator position measuring and adjusting device which can accurately and quickly adjust the position of the stator to the axis of a rotor, and to provide its adjusting method. SOLUTION: A stator position measuring and adjusting device 1 is constituted, being equipped with a measuring means 20 which measures the position of the stator S to the axis of the rotor R from inside the stator, under the condition where the stator is accommodated in a motor case MC, with the stator S is supported in the axial direction D1 of the rotor R, and that the rotor R is not inserted into the stator S, and adjusting means 5 and 6 which adjust the position of the stator S from inside the stator.
