<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil improved in performance while maintaining the current leak prevention function by a plug cap without increasing the overall length of the ignition coil. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition coil 1 comprises a cylindrical part 2 formed by storing a primary coil and a secondary coil wrapped in a concentric circular shape in a resin coil case 20, a plug mounting part 4 formed at the axial one end of the cylindrical part 2, and a connector head part formed at the axial other end of the cylindrical part 2. The plug mounting part 4 comprises a high-tension terminal 43, a resin base 41 extended from the coil case 20, and a rubber plug cap 42 fitted to the outer periphery of the resin base 41. The end of the resin base 41 is projected from the end of a high-tension terminal 43 to the axial one end L1, and put on the outer periphery of the glass part 51 of a spark plug 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
