<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily start the operation of a capsule type endoscope which is introduced to the inner part of a subject so as to perform a prescribed function. <P>SOLUTION: A lead switch 14 to be connected to a power source part and a function performance part is arranged in the substantially cylindrical capsule type case body 16 of the capsule type endoscope 3 so as to be located in parallel with the longitudinal axial (t) direction of the capsule type case body 16. The mobile electrodes of the lead switch 14 are moved to come into contact with each other in response to the magnetic induction action of a magnet 6, which is added substantially in parallel with the longitudinal axial (t) direction from the outer part of the capsule type endoscope 3.
