NON-COATED WOVEN FABRIC FOR AIRBAG, COATED WOVEN FABRIC, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND INFLATABLE CURTAIN AIRBAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-coated fabric for airbag having excellent mechanical properties, low air permeability or air impermeability, excellent compactness and storing property. SOLUTION: The woven fabric is obtained by using a multifilament yarn with a flat cross section as warps and wefts, in which the crosssectional shape of filament is in 1.5-8 flatness ratio and shrinkage percentage in boiling water is 5-10%. In the cross section of the woven fabric, the major axis (a) of the flat cross section of the filament is arranged in the horizontal direction of the woven fabric so that a horizontal degree index (HI) represented by the summation average of cosine (hi) of an angle (θ) of the major axis (a) direction of the filaments of warps and wefts constituting the woven fabric to the horizontal direction of the woven fabric is 0.85-1.0 and the residual shrinkage percentage in boiling water of decomposed yarn of the woven fabric is 0.5-3.0% to give the non-coated fabric for airbag suitable for an inflatable curtain airbag and a coated fabric for airbag.
