PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve effective information distribution and information acquisition as regards musical piece data being played back by a music playback device. SOLUTION: In the music playback device 10, an instruction reception section 26 receives a playback instruction for the musical piece data from a user. A musical piece recognition section 40 reads identification information needed to specify the musical piece data instructed to be played back from the musical piece data. An identification information transmission section 44 transmits the identification information to a predetermined server. A musical piece information reception section 46 receives a musical piece information document wherein at least one of a document or image related to the musical piece data is embedded in a predetermined document description language using a hyperlink as the result of collation by the server based upon the identification information from the server. A display processing section 24 displays at least one of the document and the image related to the musical piece data in an arrangement determined in the musical piece information document on the basis of the musical piece information document.
