DETECTION OF DOWNLINK DEAD ZONE

The invention concerns detection of a downlink dead zone (ZMD) relative to a base station (SB) having an active downlink with a mobile terminal (TM) in a frequency band allocated to the mobile terminal in a CDMA cellular radio communication network (RR), whereby an adjacent power, representing the total received power in band adjacent to the frequency band allocated to the mobile terminal, is measured in the mobile terminal and transmitted to a detection device (DD) connected to the network. The device determines at least one detection parameter based on the ratio of the measured adjacent power over a predetermined attenuation parameter. The determined detection parameter is compared to a predetermined threshold. If the detection parameter is greater than the predetermined threshold, the downlink dead zone relative to the base station is detected.
