<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article provision system capable of collecting information such as cost corresponding to food and drink present on a table before tableware is returned, and easily displaying a totaling result or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 101 performs communication with a reader/writer body 51 to make it read recorded information from an IC tag 80 provided in the tableware 10 through each antenna 52A-52D. The control part 101 makes a storage part 102 store the recorded information obtained through the reader/writer body 51 or a processing result obtained by processing it. The processing result includes a total money amount of the table 30, a total money amount in each seat, a nutrition amount, and a purchase list or the like as use situation information of the food and drink.
