<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of driving each of toner supply device of a a plurality of developing devices so as to selectively perform a toner replenishment by a single motor, thereby reducing its cost that much. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a developing device main body 140, and a plurality of developing devices 14, each having a toner replenishment device 14T connected to the main body 140. The toner replenishment device 14T has toner supply members YS, MS, CS or KS for supplying stored toner to the developing device main body 140. Each toner supply member is selectively rotatable by a toner supply member drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a gear train having one lacking teeth gear DG and toner replenishment gears YG, MG, CG, and KG provided for the toner supply member. Each toner replenishment gear is selectively rotated so as to rotate the corresponding toner supply member in the direction of replenishment with the toner by a combination of the normal and reverse rotations of the lacking teeth gear DG. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
