PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new phosphono group-containing polymerizable compound further improved in adhesiveness and highly excellent in adhesion durability in addition to initial adhesive strength in an acidic group-containing polymerizable compound having affinity to dentine and decalcification ability and useful for adhesive compositions for dental use. SOLUTION: The phosphono group-containing polymerizable compound is expressed by general formula (1) [wherein R1expresses a 1-20C chain hydrocarbon group, a 3-10C alicyclic hydrocarbon group, a 6-15C aromatic hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group having 5-10 sum total of carbon atoms and hetero atoms; R2expresses a group containing a 2-8C radically polymerizable group; R3expresses a 1-8C chain hydrocarbon group, a 3-8C alicyclic hydrocarbon group or a 6-8C aromatic hydrocarbon group].
