A mitten is provided which makes it easier to do sports, play and work in cold climate in situations where it is beneficial or essential to use the uncovered palm and fingers. The mitten can be arranged in two positions, a "closed-mitten" position where the hand is fully covered and enclosed, and an "open-mitten" position where the palm is uncovered. The mitten can be rapidly and easily rearranged from one position to the other. In the "open-mitten" position, the back of the mitten stays in place and provides cover for the back of the hand, the front portion of the mitten is flipped over and fastened to the back portion. The thumb compartment of the mitten is flipped off the thumb and folded back and can suitably be folded and tucked in a pocket which is created between the back portion and flipped-over front portion. |
