<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily selecting an individual of Canis that easily expresses a defined behavioral trait, and a PCR primer and polynucleotide probe for use in the method of selection. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for selecting Canis, wherein Canis is selected by searching an allele against intron 2 and based on the genotype of the allele. In this method of selection, it is most convenient to identify the genotype of the allele based on the length of an obtained PCR product after a genomic DNA is extracted from an individual of Canis and PCR is performed using a pair of PCR primer binding to the both terminal ends of the allele against the intron 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
