<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio LAN apparatus and a communication mode switching method in which erroneous trial of switching from an infra-mode to an ad-hoc mode can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: Radio wave reach information regarding the reach of radio waves between access points (AP) is stored in a radio wave reach storage means. An access point acquisition means refers to a terminal information storage means with terminal information of a source terminal and a destination terminal contained in a packet and acquires APs to which the source terminal and the destination terminal belong. A radio wave reach judging means judges whether or not a radio wave reaches the APs to which the source terminal and the destination terminal belong, by referring to the radio wave reach storage means. In accordance with a result of the judgement, a communication mode switching means switches a communication between the source terminal and the destination terminal into an ad-hoc mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
