<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to easily test a function for communicating with an RFID tag even when data stored in the RFID tag on a component to be attached to the device are varied according to the model of the device. <P>SOLUTION: A PC 18 controlling an emulator body 12 holds data, which should be stored in the tag of a replacement component to be attached to a device, for each model of an image formation device. When the model to be tested is selected, data for the tag corresponding to the model are set in the emulator body 12.
