Device is located at the end of a conveyor leaving the cooking oven. The rusks, arranged in longitudinal rows on the conveyor, arrive at the device which consists of a series of prismatic domes with vertical passageways between each dome to receive the rusks from the conveyor. It replaces the work of a number of persons who would otherwise be needed to remove the rusks from the rows by hand. The rusks are transferred by a blade to a box housing the prismatic domes where they tilt and fall into vertical passageways which have a width equal to the thickness of a rusk. On falling, each rusk meets a ball which causes it to tilt in its own plane so that it rests on the base of the passageway by its longeredge; the base of the passageway is formed by a conveyor which carries the rusks into corridors formed by flexible guides. The latter terminate in an outlet box; the rusks leave this in packets which are sent manually or automatically to a packaging machine.
|
