PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem wherein when displaying is performed with a plurality of pixels on one scanning line, energy consumption concentrates in rising of a selection period of one scanning line, and this causes momentary power source voltage fluctuation and occurrence of cross-talk noise, and these bring about such an influence on a display image as fluctuation of luminance and such aggravation as unwanted radiation from a drive circuit.
SOLUTION: In an image display device of a PWM gradation control system, image display is carried out by establishing a pulse width of each color in a selection period independently according to each gradation of an R signal, a G signal, and a B signal, generating display data by each color of which the peaks of the pulse width generation time distributions do not overlap with each other, and supplying the display data to a data driving circuit to perform the image display. Thus, the total of energy consumed by all the pixels on one scanning line in one selection period is a total of energy consumption I when displaying only R signal, energy consumption II when displaying only R signal, and energy consumption III when displaying only B signal, and concentration of the energy consumption in rising of the selection period is prevented.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
