PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating roller which is started up in a shorter period of time, and excellently conducts heat from itself to a fixing belt and discharges no environment affective substance. SOLUTION: The heating roller has a thin hollow cylindrical core bar 1 made of aluminum or aluminum alloy and the thin core bar 1 has an anode oxide film 2 of≤5 glossiness formed by subjecting an inner peripheral surface uniformly roughened by sandblasting to anode oxidation processing. In Fig. 1, 3 represents the anode oxide film formed by subjecting an outer peripheral surface of the thin hollow cylindrical core bar 1 directly to anode oxidation processing. Here, the surface roughness (Rz), by JIS 94, of the outer peripheral surface of the thin hollow cylindrical core bar 1 is preferably≤1.0μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
